Let us tell you the story of how we conceived the idea for our “baby”…
1st Trimester:
The seed was planted when two moms from the Tampa Bay area of Florida were tailgating at a football game. One of the moms was pregnant at the time and she was complaining to her friend she could not find a fashionable maternity shirt sporting her alma mater mascot, the University of Florida Gators. The friend was in total disbelief. After much discussion among the two women, the idea was conceived to manufacture stylish maternity collegiate wear. And so began the long gestation period of our first product. During this exciting phase we formed our company and named it Sporty U.
2nd Trimester:
Over the next several months the nesting phase began. The seed grew from idea to reality with lots of nurturing and a wonderful support team. We learned so much about forming a new business venture, how to manufacture an apparel garment, and how to properly receive the rights to use collegiate mascots. We were busy preparing for the arrival of our first product: The Collegiate Maternity Polo Shirt!
3rd Trimester:
During the last trimester our excitement continued to grow as we persevered and continued laboring in order to deliver our “baby” to you. As you await the delivery of your future fan, we paced with anticipation as we awaited the “birth” of our first product so you can proudly show your school spirit in a stylish manner. After a lot of labor pains, our "baby" has arrived!
